Congressman Cook’s Yucaipa Office Staff Also Missing

YUCAIPA, CA, February 25 — Yesterday, a search party investigating the disappearance of Congressman Paul Cook was stunned to find that the Congressman’s entire Yucaipa District Office staff are also missing. The search party, made up of concerned constituents from California’s 8th District, visited the Congressman’s Yucaipa District Office at 4 p.m. Friday — during the office’s scheduled business hours — only to find the lights off and the doors locked. The group posted a “missing” flyer featuring Congressman Cook’s image, vitals, and last-known whereabouts, and they discussed next steps for finding the missing Congressman so that he can convene a town hall in the 8th District.

The search party’s members explained to us that constituents in the area have been calling the Congressman’s Yucaipa District Office (909.797.4900) for weeks, but they have only gotten the voicemail. On Valentine’s Day constituents also visited the office during business hours to deliver Valentine’s cards, but then, too, the office was closed.

“The previous failed attempts to communicate with the Congressman’s Yucaipa office were obviously frustrating for constituents” one search party leader said. “But when we heard that Congressman Cook was missing this week, we had a sinking feeling that his staff might be in trouble, too. They won’t answer their phone. They’re not there during business hours. Where could they be? And where is the Congressman? This is all terribly unsettling.”

If you have any information about the whereabouts of either Congressman Cook or his Yucaipa office staff, please comment below this article, let us know on Twitter (@whereispaulcook), and, of course, be sure to use the hashtag #whereispaulcook. We also urge people to continue calling the Yucaipa District Office (909.797.4900) to see if ANYONE can get through. Remember to call during business hours (as we’ve been doing).
